Final Post and Wrap Up From the Team Lead Doctor

Hey team! Welcome Home!

Breakfast at whatever time you want, devotions are on your own, and the plan for today is for you to decide! No more continuing to count to 23 team members multiple times a day!

I pray that everyone arrived safely at home yesterday or today.  We got home late last night after driving home from Grand Junction, Colorado.  It was good to sleep in my own bedbrush my teeth under the faucet, and take a nice shower, singing and not getting scalded or frozen! .... and the toilet paper!!  We have so much to be thankful for, and we take so much for granted.

I know it was difficult having to change plans multiple times in Honduras, but thank you all for your flexibility.  God is good, and despite the issues, and orchestrated a final plan per His Will that allowed the team to do what He wanted us to do.  This trip was awesome.

It seems like I was just packing for the trip yesterday!  The week flew by as it always does.

Thank you for all the positive evaluations and good suggestions.  I have read every comment and really appreciate your time and effort in completing those (of course, there was a little motivation to get them done!). If you do think of anything else that you might feel could improve the trip, you can email me. Mike, Christine, and I are always looking for ways to improve the trip and everyone's experience.

We performed 17 hand cases, 13 total knees, 7 total hips, 13 sports surgeries, and had 10 decisions for Christ! We did surgeries on 50 patients, but between clinics, the prayer team, the mountain team, and the day-to-day encounters with staff and local people, the impact from our team of 23 literally touched the lives of thousands! Thank you for your positive impact and for being an ambassador for the Messiah!

Again, I want to express how much we appreciate all of you and your hard work during the week.  As I mentioned at the first of the week, everyone was an important part of this team and played a unique role. This will always be a special and unique team for us.

I have attached a team picture for you.  As you head back into your "crowd" tomorrow, remember your 1-minute, 5-minute, and 30-minute talks.  Remember to smile at someone in the hall and say "Hola".....oops, I mean "Hello".  Look for those God sightings.  They are there. Remember who is in your boat when the seas get rough.

I will end the Honduras November 2025 trip as it was begun, with a prayer.

Dear Lord, Thank you so much for Your goodness and blessings during this past week.  We lift up to You the patients that we encountered during the week and ask that You lay Your healing hand on them.  Please protect them from complications and allow a full recovery. Please be with those the prayer team saw and give them comfort. Continue to bless the kids and teachers at MDM and allow them to know You as they learn and continue their education. Please be with our Honduran counterparts as they care for their countrymen. Let them know you. Thank you for the safe travels and protection you provided during the week. Please continue to be with us as we resume our lives here in the U.S. and let us see Your hand at work. Let us be Your instruments here at home. Amen

Take care, my friends.  I already miss our time together.  Have a great week!!

Congratulations, you have finished your preparation, now your mission trip begins.....

Blessings and Shalom
